We have an exciting opportunity for a Surveyor to join our Alexandra office. The successful candidate will provide consultancy services to clients in the areas of cadastral, land development and engineering surveys with particular emphasis on field operations, data processing, plan preparation and reporting for both survey and engineering projects. You will be an active member of the survey team and project manage, investigate, undertake a range of challenging projects. In addition, you will provide business development leadership and general surveying functions to the Alexandra/Queenstown and wider Central Otago markets.
Central Otago is famous for its iconic landscape, climate, rivers, lakes and mountains and there is an abundance of recreational opportunities for every season. You are also spoilt for choice with a wide range of fantastic eateries and award-winning local wines. If you enjoy getting out into the wide, open spaces, there are also many opportunities for recreation in and around Alexandra including boating, swimming, fishing or exploring the hills and valleys by foot, mountain bike or four-wheel drive.
Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in carrying out cadastral and engineering surveys, and reporting to required technical standards.
• Experience as a Project Manager
• Sound knowledge of appropriate technical standards, legislation, codes of practice and New Zealand standards
• Bachelor of Surveying
• Current clean and full New Zealand drivers’ licence.
• 5+ years’ experience in land surveying
