The Role: We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Applications Administrator to join our IT team in Wellington.

This is a varied role with lots of scope to get involved in various aspects of our finance and business systems. The primary responsibility is to lead the provision of functional application support to users of our key business systems and tools, including ERP for finance/project management/and various HR and payroll applications.
A large part of this role is to support and understand our business and take ownership of our development initiatives and upgrades including requirements analysis, planning, testing and documenting changes and enhancements.
There will also be the opportunity to be hands on with report development involving SQL, SSRS, Excel and Power BI.
The Opportunity: 
  • Lead the user support/help desk functions for our Enterprise software systems including ERP, Payroll, CRM Expense management and reporting systems
  • Engage with our business to elicit and document requirements for both new and existing business initiatives
  • Collaborate with other support staff, applications developers, project stakeholders during various phases of a project lifecycle
  • Become the SME for our systems and processes with scope to be hands on with report development
You will have: 
  • Tertiary level qualification in Computer Science or Accounting or similar
  • 5 or more years' practical experience in a systems administration, application support or business analyst role
  • Experience engaging with end users in a support role as well as dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Experience leading a team and managing the work of others
  • Working knowledge of SQL query language and relational databases (SQL Server 2016/2017 experience a bonus)
  • A solid understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle
Supporting skill/experience that would be beneficial:
  • Any report development or support for SSRS/SSIS/SSAS or Power BI
  • Competent in using Excel (and familiarity with Excel PowerPivot, SQL and VBA programming is desirable)
  • Experience with ERP Finance/Project Management, CRM and Payroll applications
  • Knowledge of Accounting Concepts and Systems Accounting, and Project Accounting
