The WSP Software Development Team are seeking a talented Software Developer to join us in Christchurch. The team works on a wide range of development projects to support the needs of the business and our clients including in-house applications, mobile applications as well as large bespoke development projects
There will also be plenty of room for the right candidate to pick up and explore new technical skills whilst being exposed to an exciting array of challenges and interesting projects.

The candidate should have the following skills and experience: 
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in software development
  • Strong understanding of a at least one PHP MVC Framework (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, Silverstripe)
  • Front-end development experience using JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience with JavaScript Frameworks (VueJS,Angular/React/Knockout)
  • Version control systems (Git, Subversion)

Supporting skills that would be beneficial:
  • HTML5 Mobile development (Ionic Framework, Phonegap/Apache Cordova)
  • Server configuration (Apache) and command line skills (Linux)
  • Windows development (C#, VB, Java) 
  • Microsoft Azure
  • GIS development (Leaflet, ArcGIS, Map APIs)
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP))
