Case study:
Work on global future-ready projects

George Cheng, Graduate Transport Planner is part of our Auckland Transport team - George works on significant projects for New Zealand’s largest transport agencies. .

“I am currently working on the Auckland Network Optimisation Programme Business Case for the NZTA and Auckland Transport.

The success of this programme will hopefully introduce innovative ways to increase the function of the current transport network without building the massive capital works that Auckland has become so accustomed to.

It’s an exciting job that involves creating a robust business case for the purpose of optimising Auckland’s transport networks for the next decade.

I am providing project support in all areas, from project management to stakeholder workshops. It’s great to have such broad scope on projects like this, as ultimately - it will support my career development.

In my opinion, this project completely encompasses the theme of future-readiness - it has the philosophy of willingness to shift the fundamental direction and methodology in order to face issues arising beyond the immediate future”.
